TO TEMPLE UNIVERSITY:
I, the undersigned, a member of the
TAUP bargaining unit, authorize Temple University to deduct
all dues payments authorized
by the TAUP Constitution and Bylaws from my salary and
to remit the amounts so deducted to TAUP.
This authorization
will remain in full force and effect until revoked by me,
in writing. A written notice of the
revocation will be sent to TAUP and Temple during the first 15
days of October in any calendar year.

Annual Dues:
- New members – 0.5% of base salary for first
year;
- Untenured faculty, Probationary Librarians and
Academic Professionals – 0.75% of base salary;
- Tenured faculty, Librarians on regular appointment,
and post-probationary Academic Professionals – 1.0%
of current annual base salary.
Dues also include, in addition to above percentages, all constitutionally-mandated increases passed on to TAUP by parent unions (PaFT, AFT, AFL-CIO).
Joining TAUP also includes membership
in AFT, PaFT, and AFL-CIO. For members authorizing payroll
dues deduction, annual dues
are prorated beginning with the month of joining and are
deducted from your monthly pay. Consult your tax advisor to determine if your TAUP dues are a deductible expense.
